Yo. The name’s Tyler Kyojo. Some call me White Tiger. They say I’m one of the many “bad guys” in Judge by the Cover: High School, Drama & Deadly Vices, the first book in the Hafu Sans Halo series. Who am I? Let’s just say I put the “deadly” in “Deadly Vices.” Am I truly a bad guy? I guess I must be cause one of the main characters loathes me. I won’t say his name. This interview is about me, right? Besides, everyone knows *I* should be the star of this show. Anyway, let's do this. :) Q: Would you want to hang out with your author? That’s not the question. The question you want to ask is if she would want to hang out with me. Judging from the way she’s frantically shaking her head and sweating profusely, the answer looks like a resounding no. Q: Do you have any birthmarks? Yeah. I have an interesting one but I’d rather not tell you where it is or what it looks like. ;) Q: When spring cleaning what is easy for you to throw out? What is difficult to part with? I’d throw out all my roommate’s stuff. I love my Ed Hardy stuff. My Metallica CD—I get that no one uses CDs anymore but I’d never give those up. *Begins slow head-banging and humming Devil's Dance* Q: What is in your fridge right now? Judging from the smell seeping in from the kitchen, probably something gross one of my brothers made three days ago. Q: How do you react when angry? It depends. You know why I got the nickname “Tiger?” I bide my time. I pounce when no one expects it and then, guess what? I’m a total savage. Q: Which talent would you most like to have? Did the author give you this talent or withhold it from you? I’m a born talent. I learned kobudo. I trained with sais. You know the knives Raphael from Ninja Turtles uses? I’m pretty good with those. Q: What is the trait you most deplore in others? I think most people are just so weak. They care too much. Cry too much. Fear too much. I wouldn’t say there’s a trait that I dislike. I dislike people generally. Q: When do you first appear in the story? Now get this. Chapter 5. Crazy, right? For someone who should be the star to appear halfway through the book—I’d say something, but you’d probably have to censor it. Q: What do you do for a living? Hm. Well, I’m a high school student but I’m a recruit for the White Flower Syndicate. What I do for them is none of your business. Q: If they turned the book into a movie, who would be cast to play you? There’s this Japanese singer, Kazuki from Doberman Infinity. He’s not an actor or martial artist but he’s a cool and handsome guy. Not as handsome as me though. I can’t blame him. It’s pretty difficult to measure up to perfection. Q: If aliens suddenly appeared in the middle of the story, how does your role change? Are the aliens at war with us and are they winning? If so, I’m on their team. Peace out, Earthlings! Q: What is your current state of mind? The author says straight-up delusional but I’m pretty sure my mind is top-notch. Like, a whole other level of genius, basically. Let the haters hate. Q: What was your childhood like? I’m an orphan so you can just guess. It wasn’t much of a loss since my parents were useless. Maybe I lucked out? I left Japan when I was five, moved to Canada and since then I’ve always lived with a bunch of idiot kids. I’m okay with it as long as they stay outta my way. But I’m only 17. I’m still a kid — or whatever — until I turn 18. Just you wait and see what happens then. Cause I am the champion and you’re going to hear me ROAR. I know what you’re thinking. “Tyler listens to Katy Perry”— uh, no I don’t. *Pulls out cellphone. Begins to play Roar but it sounds… very metal.* Interview courtesy of author A.S. McGowan who was kind enough to feature my character on her page. If you are a romance reader, be sure to check out her Centaur Agency series.
